WHO WE ARE 

Juan Ramos & Olga Garza were married in August of 1984 and resided on a 30 acre ranch in La Feria, Texas with Olga's family.

Olga's family was already in the business of raising commercial crossbred, and after marriage Juan and Olga decided to help in the day to day cattle operations.

In October of 1985 Juan Jr. was born and then in November of 1987 Jennifer followed. After the birth of their two children Juan and Olga decided to invest on registered breeding cattle in order to help provide responsibility and maturity lessons to their children.  This was the first stepping stone in establishing OJ3 Ranch.

In 1990 they purchased their first pair of purebred Simbrah heifers and began a breeding programs. In 1993 Juan Jr. chose a Simbrah from his families cattle herd to be his first 4-H show project, and then in 1995 Jennifer chose a Simmental heifer to be her first 4-H show project. From that point on the Ramos' cattle herd would consist of both Simbrah and Simmental.

Today the Ramos' run a cattle herd of 35 to 40 head composed of Simbrah, Simmental, and Commercial Cattle.  They run their cattle on their new ranch lot of 25 acres, where they moved to in 1997, and on the original 30 acres where the business started.  Both locations are in the La Feria, TX area.

In 1999 they decided to expand into the BOER GOAT business, after Jennifer was interested in raising boer goats as 4-H market and breeding projects. They first invested in a pair of nannies and today their herd consists of 8 fullblood and percentage nannies.
